This is the place we have called home for the last 5 years - the longest I have ever lived in one place since leaving home to go to college when I was 18. This is the home where I married my husband and had our sweet baby girl. This is the home that is presently busting at the seams with boxes. The pictures are off the walls. The cabinets are empty. 3 more nights here before we leave for good. Change is always bittersweet...

  2. Thanks Lena! feeling pretty emotional myself. Though I've moved A LOT in my life, I get really attached to places and spaces. This one in particular will hold a place in my heart. But there are good things ahead...!

But I'm sure your new home....which, by the way congrats on, will be just as lovely! I came from beauty that moves blog and just had to see your new home! :) I know you will have many great new memories to store away in your new home.

    1. Thank you Renee. It is so hard to leave, but I know there are new memories waiting to be made in our new home- so that is what I try to stay focused on!

  4. Heather you have incredible taste. When I look at your place, I see all of your beautiful belongings and incredible craft of placement. Both of which will follow you wherever you go. Regardless, I know how hard it can be to leave a home with so many memories. best of luck in your new home!

  5. I came over from Beauty That Moves yesterday and have enjoyed peeking into your home and at your darling girl. I have to confess, I can't get that couch out of my head. Where did you get it? Looking forward to seeing you settle into your new home, which is unbelievably beautiful.

  6. Thank you for taking a peek! The couch is actually from crate and barrel. If I remember correctly, it's called the "Petrie". It's super comfy and makes a great bed for guests- though I guess we won't be needing to use it for that any longer! ; )

    1. Ah, I might have known Crate & Barrel. Thanks for taking the time to respond in the midst of your move...I felt kind of silly asking, but there are so few beautiful couches in this world. :) May your unpacking go smoothly...
