  4. Hi there! I've been enjoying your blog over the past year- thanks for sharing- great style inspiration. I especially love Veda's stellar wardrobe! I'm expecting my first child this July and am wondering if you could share some of your favorite children's clothing brands and places to find them?
    Thanks!
    Sara

    3. Sara, I feel so bad that I have yet to do that post! Especially since your baby will be arriving soon.. I still am planning on it, but for some reason, finding it daunting. In the meantime... I shop everywhere from Target to cute overprices boutiques, as well as a lot online. I've been lucky in that Veda hardly ever spit up, so I didn't need to do 3 outfit changes a day- which means I could get away with having less- and spending a bit more on the little I do get. Also, she's a peanut. She still fits into things she wore last summer. I will purposefully buy a shirt a bit big and she'll wear it as a dress for the first few months and then later on as a dress. I joined a few of those discount sites (Gilt, MyHabit, Mini Social), which have those deals on designer/boutique items that you can't justify paying full price for. Also, I'm a big fan of buying out of season- though that can be tricky in the beginning, b/c you don't know how fast your kid will grow. In general, just watch for sales- I hardly ever pay full price for things. Also, I LOVE finding things at vintage shops or flea markets. When I was in BK, there was a great 2nd hand children's store where I bought and sold clothes at. Still haven't found the same here in NJ. Some of the brands I like are: Zara, Estella NYC, baby Gap, american apparel, polarn o'pyret, nadadelazos, peek little peanut, baby boden, clover ny, rickshaw, kit & lili, pink chicken, h&m kids, wheat, petit bateau, egg, phoenix and nola, nununo, winter water factory... I hope this is helpful- and hope you are enjoying these last few weeks before your little one arrives!!
